After a great 3-0 start, the Smithtown East football team (3-1) dropped an embarrassing loss to Bellport (3-1).
The team came out flat against a tough Bellport team and it showed on the field. The offense could not get anything going while the defense let up three huge plays, leading to a score of 21-0 Bellport.
The game would stay that score for the rest of the game, even though East got within the Bellport 20 several times. This loss was a huge blow to the East team and now they look to come back strong and face the second hardest team in their division, West Islip (4-0). The two teams will square off Saturday at West Islip and may determine just how great East really is.
Thank You
